This One Summer

Every summer since she was small, Rose has returned to Awago Beach with her parents. It’s her escape—a place of familiar shores and steady rhythms. Windy is always there too, the closest thing Rose has to a sister, making their seasonal world feel whole. But this year, everything feels off.

Her parents can’t seem to stop arguing, and the tension follows Rose everywhere. As she and Windy drift through the sleepy lakeside town, they find themselves caught on the edges of a brewing tragedy. Secrets ripple beneath the surface, and heartbreak hangs heavy in the warm air.
