Saint Enita Malovis, once a celebrated bio-prosthetist, now faces the end of her life and legacy. Determined not to let her knowledge fade with her, she begins work on Nix, a synthetic being designed to carry her experience and insight into the future. But as Enita works, a fellow Sainted is mysteriously murdered—and the city’s all-seeing AI deletes all records of the crime.

When the truth is buried by the very system meant to protect it, Enita and Nix find themselves at the heart of a growing rebellion.
