In the storm-lashed, remote wilds of Shearwater Island—halfway between Tasmania and Antarctica—the Salt family lives alone, tasked with guarding a precious seed vault that may hold the key to humanity’s future in a climate-ravaged world.

But when a woman named Rowan washes ashore, claiming to be searching for her missing husband, the fragile calm of the island shatters. She’s disoriented, secretive and not entirely honest. As the Salt family takes her in, buried tensions, old traumas and hidden agendas surface. 

As violent storms close in and communication with the outside world fails, trust frays and danger escalates. With the seed vault in jeopardy and no escape from the island, survival depends on uncovering the truth—before it’s too late.
